నాగేంద్రహారాయ త్రిలోచనాయ
భస్మాంగరాగాయ మహేశ్వరాయ |
నిత్యాయ శుద్ధాయ దిగంబరాయ
తస్మై “న” కారాయ నమః శివాయ || 1 ||
అర్దము:
నాగేంద్రున్ని హారముగా ధరించినవాడు, మూడుకన్నులవాడు, భస్మము వంటినిండా పూసుకున్నవాడు, మహేశ్వరుడు, నిత్యమయినవాడు, పరిశుద్ధుడు, దిగంబరుడు, "నమశ్శివాయ" అను మంత్రము నందలి 'న' అను అక్షరమైనవాడు అగు శివునికి నమస్కారము.
మందాకినీ సలిల చందన చర్చితాయ
నందీశ్వర ప్రమథనాథ మహేశ్వరాయ |
మందార ముఖ్య బహుపుష్ప సుపూజితాయ
తస్మై “మ” కారాయ నమః శివాయ || 2 ||
అర్దము:
ఆకాశగంగాజలమనే చందనము పూయబడినవాడు, నందీశ్వరుడు మొదలైన ప్రమథ గణములకు నాయకుడు మందారము మొదలైన అనేక పుష్పములచే పూజింపబడిన వాడు, "నమశ్శివాయ" అను మంత్రము నందలి 'మ ' అను అక్షరమైనవాడు అగు శివునికి నమస్కారము.

సూర్యాయ దక్షాధ్వర నాశకాయ |
శ్రీ నీలకంఠాయ వృషభధ్వజాయ

మంగళకరుడు, పార్వతీ ముఖమనే పద్మసముదాయమును వికసింపచేయు సూర్యుడు, దక్షుని యాగము నాశనము చేసినవాడు, నల్లని కంఠము కలవాడు, జండాపై ఎద్దు చిహ్నమున్నవాడు, "నమశ్శివాయ" అను మంత్రము నందలి 'శి' అను అక్షరమైనవాడు అగు శివునికి నమస్కారము.
వశిష్ఠ కుంభోద్భవ గౌతమార్య
మునీంద్ర దేవార్చిత శేఖరాయ |
చంద్రార్క వైశ్వానర లోచనాయ
తస్మై “వ” కారాయ నమః శివాయ || 4 ||
అర్దము:
వశిష్టుడు, అగస్త్యుడు, గౌతముడు, మొదలైన మునీంద్రులచేత పూజింపబడు జటాజూటము కలవాడు, చంద్రుడు - సూర్యుడు - అగ్ని మూడు కన్నులుగా కలవాడు, "నమశ్శివాయ" అను మంత్రము నందలి 'వ' అను అక్షరమైనవాడు అగు శివునికి నమస్కారము.
యఙ్ఞ స్వరూపాయ జటాధరాయ
పినాక హస్తాయ సనాతనాయ |
దివ్యాయ దేవాయ దిగంబరాయ
తస్మై “య” కారాయ నమః శివాయ || 5 ||

యక్షస్వరూపుడు, జటలను ధరించినవాడు, " పినాకము " అను ధనస్సును చేతిలో పట్టుకున్నవాడు, సనాతనుడు, ఆకాశమునందుండు దేవుడు, దిగంబరుడు, "నమశ్శివాయ" అను మంత్రము నందలి 'య' అను అక్షరమైనవాడు అగు శివునికి నమస్కారము.
