పుత్రదా ఏకాదశి

శ్రావణ మాసంలో వచ్చే శుక్ల పక్ష ఏకాదశిని పుత్రదా ఏకాదశి అంటారు.

ఏకాదశి విష్ణుమూర్తి కి ఎంతో ఇష్టమైంది. స్వామి వారి జన్మ నక్షత్రం అయిన శ్రావణ మాసంలో వచ్చే ఏకదశులు మరింత ప్రియమైనవి.

ఈ పుత్రదా ఏకాదశి వ్రతముని ఆచరణ చేయడం వల్ల సత్ సంతానం పొందవచ్చు, పుత్రుని పొందాలి అనుకునేవాళ్ళు ఈ వ్రతమును ఆచరిస్తూ, విష్ణు దేవుని ఈ మాస శుక్ల పక్ష రూపం అయిన 24 నామాల్లో ఒకటైన శ్రీధర రూపంగా అర్చించాలి.

మహాజిత్ అనే రాజు ఈ వ్రతాన్ని ఆచరించి తన వంశాన్ని నిలబెట్టుకున్నారు.

ఈ శ్రీధర రూపాన్ని మనం చూస్తే తెల్లని ఛాయ తో హృదయం లో లక్ష్మిని ధరించి శంఖ చక్ర గదా పద్మాలతో ఉంటాడు.

సువాసనలు వెదజల్లే పుష్పాలతో పూజించాలి.విష్ణు ప్రియమైన నేతితో దీపాలు వెలిగించాలి.
మధుర పదార్థాలు నివేదన చేయాలి రోజంతా ఉపవసించి ద్వాదశి రోజున పారాయణ చేయాలి.
ఇది ఏకాదశి వ్రతం.

ఓం నమో నారాయణాయ

దానము: బ్రాహ్మణ ఉత్తమునకు గొడుగు దానం చేయడం వల్ల సకల దోషాలు తొలగించబడతాయ్. శ్రీమహావిష్ణువు అనుగ్రహం కలుగుతుంది.
