లక్ష్మీ కుబేరుల ఆలయం
కుబేరుడు విగ్రహాలు ఉన్న ఆలయాలు ఉన్నాయి. కానీ ప్రత్యేక ఆలయం పెద్దగా తెలిసనవి అయితే లేవు. కుబేరుడు భార్య చిత్రలేఖతోనూ, ఐశ్వర్య స్వరూపమైన శ్రీమహలక్ష్మితోనూ కొలువుతీరిన ఆలయం తమిళనాడులో ఉంది.
కుబేరుడి కథ:
కుబేరుడు విశ్వావసు. పేరు వైశ్రవణుడు. ఆయన పెద్దయ్యాక తండ్రి సలహామీద బ్రహ్మ గురించి తపస్సు చేశాడు. బ్రహ్మ ప్రత్యక్షమై అతనికి కుబేరుడని పేరుపెట్టి ఉత్తర దిక్కుకి అధిపతిని చేశాడు. అతనికి పుష్పక విమానాన్ని కూడా ఇచ్చాడు. తండ్రి సలహా ప్రకారం తన లంకా రాజ్యాన్ని రావణుడికి అప్పజెప్పి శివుడి గురించి తపస్సు చేస్తాడు. ఆ తపస్సుకి ప్రసన్నుడైన శివుడు పార్వతితోసహా ప్రత్యక్షమవుతాడు. పార్వతి అద్భుత సౌందర్యానికి, తేజస్సుకి తట్టుకోలేని కుబేరుడి ఒక కనురెప్ప అప్రయత్నంగా కొట్టుకుంటుంది. ఆగ్రహించిన పార్వతి అతని కంటి చూపుని పోగొడుతుంది. శివుడు పార్వతి అపోహని తొలగించి కుబేరుడి కంటి చూపు తిరిగి ప్రసాదిస్తాడు. పార్వతి కుబేరుడికి ఇంకేమైనా బహుమతి ఇవ్వమంటే శివుడు నవ నిధులు ఇస్తాడు. అవే కల్పవృక్షం, కామధేనువు, శంఖం, చేప, తాబేలు, వజ్ర వైఢూర్యాలు, పాలు, తామర మరియు ఆవు, దూడ.
పురాణ_కధ:
బ్రహ్మాండ పురాణం, భవిష్య పురాణాల ప్రకారం పులస్త్యుడి కొడుకైన విశ్వావసు, ఇళల కుమారుడు వైశ్రవణుడు, ఆయనే కుబేరుడు. విశ్వావసు, కైకసిల కుమారుడు రావణుడు. కుబేరుడు లోకంలో వున్న ధనానికంతా అధిపతి. లక్ష్మీదేవి సాక్షాత్ ఐశ్వర్య స్వరూపం. కుబేరుడు తన తండ్రి సలహాతో లక్ష్మీ నారాయణుల సువర్ణ విగ్రహాలను ప్రతిష్టించి లక్ష్మీ నారాయణ వ్రతం చేస్తాడు. ఆ రోజు అక్షయ తృతీయ. లక్ష్మీదేవి ప్రత్యక్షమయి ఆయనని ధనాధిపతిని చేసింది. ప్రజలకు వారివారి యోగ్యత ప్రకారం సంపదను ప్రసాదించే బాధ్యత అప్పజెప్పింది. అంతేకాదు, కలియుగంలో తమ ప్రతిమలతోబాటు కుబేరుడి ప్రతిమకూడా పెట్టి పూజించి తర్వాత ఆ ప్రతిమని బ్రాహ్మణుడికి దానం చేసినవారికి లక్ష్మీ కటాక్షం లభిస్తుందని వరం కూడా ఇచ్చింది. ఏ కధ ఎలా వున్నా కుబేరుడు ఐశ్వర్య ప్రదాత. ఐశ్వర్య స్వరూపమైన లక్ష్మీదేవిని, కుబేరుడిని పూజించినవారికి వారి అనుగ్రహం వుంటుంది.
ఆలయ విశేషాలు:
ఈ ఆలయంలోకి ప్రవేశిస్తూనే ఎడమప్రక్క గుండ్రంగా ప్రతిష్టించబడిన షోడశ (16) గణపతులను చూడవచ్చు. పక్కనే నవ గ్రహాలు భార్యలతో సహా కొలువు తీరారు. ప్రదక్షిణ మార్గంలో వెళ్తుంటే గర్భ గుడి బయట గోడలమీద ఒక ప్రక్క బ్రహ్మ, సరస్వతులు, వెనుక స్వర్ణాకర్షణ భైరవుడు (నాకర్ధం అయినంతమటుకూ ఈయన క్షేత్ర పాలకుడు), ఇంకో ప్రక్క వేంకటేశ్వరస్వామి విగ్రహాలున్నాయి. ప్రక్కనే లాఫింగ్ బుధ్ధా, కుమార స్వామి వగైరా విగ్రహాలున్నాయి.
