ఏరువాక పున్నమి పండుగ విశేషాలు
మన భారతదేశంలో భిన్నమతతత్వాలు కలిగినవారు ఎక్కువగా వుండడంతో పండుగలు కూడా వారివారి విధానాలకు అనుగుణంగానే నిర్వహించుకుంటారు. ముఖ్యంగా హిందువుల పండుగలు లెక్కలేనివన్నీ! సందర్భాలను బట్టి దేవతల పూజలను, కొన్ని పవిత్రమైన కార్యాలను పండుగ రూపంలో వైభవంగా జరుపుకుంటారు. అలాగే మన హిందూ సంస్కృతీ - సంప్రదాయాల ప్రకారం ప్రాచీనకాలం నుంచి కొన్ని గుర్తుతెలియని పండుగలు కూడా ఇప్పటికీ అమలులో వున్నాయి. పట్టణప్రాంతాల్లో వాటి హవా అంతగా లేకపోయినా గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాలలోని ప్రజలు ఎంతో భక్తిశ్రద్ధలతో ప్రాచీన పండుగలను ఆచారాలుగా వ్యవహరిస్తూ ఘనంగా జరుపుకుంటారు. అటువంటి పండుగల్లో ఒకటైన ఈ ‘‘ఏరువాక పున్నమి’’ ఎంతో ముఖ్యమైంది.
సాధారణంగా ఈ ఏరువాక పున్నమి పండుగను గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాలలో వ్యవసాయం చేసుకునేవారు వైభవంగా నిర్వహించుకుంటారు. ‘‘ఏరువాక’’ అనే పదంలో ‘‘ఏరు’’ అంటే.. ఎద్దులను కట్టి, దుక్కి దున్నటానికి సిద్ధపరిచిన నాగలి అని అర్థం. అంటే దీనిని బట్టి అర్థమయ్యేదేమిటంటే ప్రత్యేకంగా ఈ పండుగ కేవలం వ్యవసాయదారులకు మాత్రమేనని తెలుస్తోంది. ఈ పండుగను నిర్వహించుకోవడం ప్రారంభం అయిందంటే గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో వ్యవసాయ పనులు కూడా మొదలవుతున్నట్టు లెక్క!
మన భారతదేశం వ్యవసాయ ప్రధాన దేశం. ప్రపంచం మొత్తం మీద చాలావరకు పంటలు మన దేశంలోనే ఎక్కువగా పండుతాయి. అందువల్ల మన దేశంలో ఈ వ్యవసాయాన్ని ఒక పవిత్రమైన కార్యంలా రైతులు భావిస్తారు. అలాగే మన పూర్వీకులు ఆనాటిరోజుల్లో భూమిని ఒక దేవతగా పూజించేవారు. ఎందుకంటే దేశాన్ని పచ్చని చెట్లతో - పంట పొలాలతో సస్యశ్యామలం చేసి, మానవాళికి అవసరమైన ప్రాణవాయువు, ఆకలిని తీర్చే చల్లని తల్లే మన భూమాత! దాంతో భూమిని భూదేవతగా వర్ణిస్తారు. అటువంటి భూమాతను నాగలితో గుచ్చి, దుక్కిదున్నడాన్ని ఎంతో బాధాకరంగా భావిస్తారు మన రైతన్నలు. అందువల్లే భూదేవతకు క్షమాపణలు చెప్పుకుంటూ వ్యవసాయం ప్రారంభించడానికి ముందుగా భూపూజా కార్యక్రమాలను నిర్వహించుకుంటారు. ఆ విధంగా జరుపుకునే ఈ పండుగను ‘‘ఏరువాక పున్నమి’’గా పరిగణిస్తారు.
About Eruvaka Pournami Festival
Eruvaka Purnima or Eruvaka Punnami is a special festival celebrated in many parts of South India, especially in Andhra Pradesh. Eruvaka Poornima is a special festival celebrated by farmers and agriculturists on the full moon day, in the month of Ashada. On this day Agriculturists or farmers worship the yoke, the plough and the bulls with turmeric and kumkum.
They broken the Coconuts in front of yokes and bulls. It is believed that even little showers happened on Mrigashira Karthe day, that year would be a wonderful year for farmers.
On this day people cook payasam, a small dish and enjoy it with their children and relatives.Other part of India some people worship the bullock. They wash the cattle, smear and decorate the hooves and horns with oil and a variety of colours and feed them with pulagam (rice, green gram dal and sesame cooked together). Little bells are also tied to their horns and necks and they are driven out into the open space to wander and run about. Some Children collect seeds a week in advance and sow them in the corners of the temple.
All the people are enjoy and colourfully decorated of this day.Eruvaka Purnima is also known as Krushi Purnima in other parts of India.
